Common fixtures of several maps on \(2\)-metric spaces (English)

The authors [Adv. Math. 229, No. 1, 668--690 (2012; Zbl 1261.54032)] introduced a slightly new type of contraction on a \(2\)-metric space and obtained some fixed point results. In this paper, they discuss some extensions of their previous work [op. cit.]. Necessity of conditions in the results are illustrated.
