Quasilinear Schrödinger equations with asymptotically linear nonlinearities (Q2923159)

In this paper the authors study the following quasilinear equation NEWLINE\[NEWLINE-\Delta u+V(x)u-\Delta(u^2)u=g(x,u)\,, \quad u\in H^1(\mathbb R^N)\,,NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(V\) is a positive potential, while the nonlinear term \(g\in C(\mathbb R^N\times \mathbb R, \mathbb R)\) satisfies a suitable growth condition and asymptotically linear assumptions at zero and at infinity.NEWLINENEWLINEThey prove the existence of a nontrivial weak solution for this equation, using minimization techniques combined with a suitable change of variables.
