Quasi-acoustic scheme for the Euler equations of gas dynamics in two-dimensional case (English)

A numerical algorithm for solving Euler's gas dynamical equation is proposed. The algorithm realises the local linear spline presentation of solutions inside of a cell of the grid. Then the solution is presented in a form of multilayer acoustic approximation which allows to reproduce some characteristic properties of the solution. The algorithm is first stated in two-dimensional formulation then it is adapted for the three-dimensional case. As an example, the problem of gas jets interaction with a reflecting screen is analysed.
