For relatively prime positive integers \(u_0\) and \(r\) the authors consider the least common multiple \(L_n:=\text{lcm}(u_0,\ldots,u_n)\) with \(u_j=u_0+jr\). They establish a lower bound for \(L_n\) that improves on earlier lower bounds and discuss the sharpness of their estimate.
