Approximating fixed points of 2-generalized hybrid mappings in Banach spaces and CAT(0) spaces (English)
0 references
The present paper deals with the study of some weak and strong convergence results for Ishikawa and Halpern iterations using 2-generalized hybrid mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. The author provides an affirmative answer to an open question posed by \textit{M. Hojo} et al. [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 75, No. 4, 2166--2176 (2012; Zbl 1295.47081)]. Also, results of strong and \(\Delta\)-convergence in Banach spaces are extended to CAT (0) spaces using 2-generalized hybrid mappings. Some examples and remarks are given to illustrate the results. These results improve and generalize some known results in the current literature.
