Analysis of a fourth order scheme and application of local defect correction method (English)

The author analyses a scheme called Hermitian box-scheme (HB-scheme) for the Poisson problem in one dimension. The HB-scheme is found numerically to be fourth-order accurate. An application of the local defect correction technique combined with the HB-scheme is provided. Some numerical tests showing the interest of this application are presented.
