In this paper, the authors study the asymptotic behavior as \(\varepsilon\to 0\) of the first eigenvalue and corresponding eigenfunction of a Dirichlet spectral problem for singularly perturbed elliptic convection-diffusion operator with oscillating periodic coefficients. They derived the limiting elliptic equation and they deduce the limiting value of the first eigenvalue and eigenfunction.
