Good behavior with respect to the stiffness in the numerical integration of retarded functional differential equations (English)

This paper considers the behaviour of continuous Runge-Kutta methods for retarded functional differential equations (RFDEs). In particular, a global error relationship is obtained. This leads to the concept of good behaviour with respect to stiffness. A class of scalar semilinear RFDEs is then studied in this setting under the assumption of non-vanishing delays. This analysis is confirmed by some simple numerical results.
