On the Riemann problem for a scalar Zeldovich-von Neumann-Döring combustion model (English)

The author considers the Riemann problem for the simplified Majda's combustion Zeldovich-von Neumann-Döring (ZND) model for reacting gases. The question is existence of a Chapman-Jouguet limits of solutions to this problem. Global piecewise smooth entropy solutions are constructed; these solutions include detonation and deflagration waves. Asymptotical behaviour of the deflagration solutions as reaction rate tends to infinity is studied: convergence takes place provided that the ignition function is constant on some segment and zero outside.
