In connection with the Lebedev-type integral transforms with an arbitrary complex index there arises the necessity of approximating modified Bessel functions of arbitrary complex order. The author considers problems of polynomial approximation of solutions of two linear second-order differential equations with polynomial coefficients and constructing polynomial approximations of kernels of Lebedev-type integral transforms. Finally a scheme based on canonical vector-polynomials is proposed for approximately solving these equations.
