The authors prove the quaternionic spectral theorem for unitary operators based on \(S\)-spectrum, by using the quaternionic version of the Herglotz's theorem and quaternionic spectral measures. The relation between the \(S\)-spectrum and the spectral measures used for the proof of the main result is also investigated.
