Dwyer-Kan localization revisited (Q303905)

This paper gives results on Dwyer-Kan localisations in the context of \(\infty\)-categories. The localisations are described in terms of a universal property. The results are applied to the underlying \(\infty\)-categories of model categories; in particular it is shown that a Quillen adjunction between model categories yields an adjunction between the underlying \(\infty\)-categories. For suitable fibred \(\infty\)-categories it is shown that the fibres of the localisation map are equivalent to the localisations of the fibres. There are some partial results on symmetric monoidal \(\infty\)-categories.
