The authors consider the tight-binding model of a quantum particle on a honeycomb lattice in the presence of a homogeneous magnetic field, where the one-particle Hamiltonian is expressed in terms of the generators of the quantum group \(\mathrm{U}_q(\mathrm{sl}_2)\). The basic single equation determining the eigenvalues and eigenstates is produced.
