By means of the maximal regularity properties of a boundary value problem for a degenerate linear abstract differential equation of arbitrary order, the author obtains separability properties for the linear problem, sharp coercive estimates for the resolvent, the discreetness of spectrum and the completeness of root elements of the corresponding differential operator. Finally, as an application of these results, the author investigates the separability and spectral properties of nonlocal boundary value problem for a system of degenerate differential equations of infinite order.
