The authors investigate a nonlinearly coupled system of flow and heat transport through porous media made of an arrangement of periodic microstructures. Using a combination of two-scale convergence and compactness techniques, the authors succeed to pass to the (periodic) homogenization limit into a degenerate transport structure.
