The paper studies quandles of cyclic type. A quandle \(X\) with \(|X|\geq3\) is said to be of cyclic type if for each \(x\in X\) the permutation \(y\mapsto y*x\) acts as a cyclic permutation on \(X\setminus\{x\}\). Quandles of cyclic type are in particular connected. The main result (Theorem 4.3) is a classification of quandles of cyclic type. As a corollary, the authors give a list of quandles of cyclic type of size \(\leq12\).
