The authors preset a numerical method for scattering data computation for the Zakharov-Shabat system. They first provide the definition of the scattering data and properties, properties of auxillary functions that are necessary for the illustration of the proposed method and a characterization of the scattering data. They introduce two different potentials for which numerical examples are given to illustrate the theory discussed.
