The paper studies the a posteriori error analysis for linear parabolic interface problems. The time discretization is done by the two-step backward differentiation formula which exhibits the smoothing property of the solution for parabolic problems. The space is discretized by the standard finite element method with interface fitted finite element meshes. Numerical examples are included.
