In this paper, the authors introduce and study a new notion of Lindelöfness called \(\mu\)-Lindelöfness (or \(\mu \mathcal{H}\)-Lindelöfness, where \(\mathcal{H}\) stands for hereditary) by utilizing the notion of \(\mu\)-open sets in the context of hereditary generalized topological spaces in the sense of Á. Császár. They obtain several new, interesting and important results.
