The two-dimensional Fejér means on diagonal Hardy space (Q343222)

In this paper we prove a weak type \((1, 1)\) inequality for the maximal operator \[ \sup_{n,m} {| \sigma_{n,m}| \over (n+m)^{\epsilon}} \] for any \(\epsilon > 0\). This allows the authors to reach some inequalities which hold almost everywhere. Moreover, they improve a corresponding result of \textit{W.R. Wade} [A. Haar Mem. Conf., Budapest/Hung. 1985, Colloq. Math. Soc. János Bolyai 49, 975--991 (1987; Zbl 0625.42012)]. The paper contains new techniques with respect to the investigation of Hardy spaces on the two-di\-men\-si\-o\-nal Walsh group.
