The existence of periodic solutions of nonautonomous second order Hamiltonian systems with \((q,p)\)-Laplacian is shown using variational techniques. Under different assumptions on the potential function, similar results were obtained in [the first author and \textit{C.-L. Tang}, Appl. Math. Lett. 23, No. 3, 246--251 (2010; Zbl 1187.34051); Bull.
