The authors give some new examples on meromorphic functions that share one value with their first derivative and also give the solution for the Riccati differential equation. For instance, they make an example which shows that the following statement is wrong: If a non-constant meromorphic function \(f \) and its derivative \(f'\) share the value \(1\) CM, then \(f-1=c(f'-1)\), where \( c\) is a nonzero constant.
