In this paper, the authors introduce quasi-Frobenius functors and quasi-Frobenius (co)monads for arbitrary categories, which generalize the previous notion for some special categories such as module categories and Grothendieck categories. The relevance of the quasi-Frobenius functors for Frobenius categories is also discussed.
