The theory of determinants of Boolean matrices and matrices over lattices or commutative semirings has been studied by several authors. In this paper, the author considers the problem of the determinant of a matrix over more general lattices, in particular, over a class of pseudo-complemented distributive lattices. Earlier results on this topic appear as special cases of theorems presented in this paper.
