This paper presents a brief study of the role that the Ricci and the associated Ricci* tensor play in the study of anti-Kähler-Codazzi manifolds. The authors prove that an anti-Kähler-Codazzi manifold reduces to an isotropic anti-Kähler manifold if and only if the Ricci tensor field coincides with the Ricci* tensor field.
