The authors look at the question: Is there a genus one curve \(C\) over a field \(K\) with morphism \(C\mapsto X\)? They explicitly construct such a genus one curve when \(X\) has dimension less than or equal to 4. However their methods do not generalize to higher dimensional \(X\).
