In this article the author studies some properties of bounded real analytic functions defined in a strip of the complex plane through their representation by continuous fractions. He applies this theory to the study of a nonlinear system of ODE (the ABC system) appearing as a particular case of the incompressible Euler equations of fluid dynamics.
