The author investigates the inverse problem for a local Pompeiu transformation of rank one on symmetric spaces of non-compact type. Such a problem was previously studied only for the case of classical spaces. Here an arbitrary space of the class mentioned above is under consideration. The reconstruction of a function defined in the ball \(B\) by its averages on balls of two fixed radii lying in \(B\) is obtained.
