This paper brings contributions to the multilinear theory of absolutely summing operators. The main goal of the paper is to investigate composition results for strongly summing and dominated multilinear operators. The text contains many illuminating examples and one of the main results shows the failure of some approaches to find a Grothendieck composition-type theorem in the multilinear framework.
