This paper deals with some qualitative problems concerning \(G\)-convergence, Dirichlet-to-Neumann maps and invisibility. The authors establish sharp conditions which imply that the \(G\)-convergence of linear elliptic operators implies the convergence of the corresponding Dirichlet-to-Neumann maps. The abstract results are applied to show that the approximate cloaking isotropic materials are independent of the source.
