The paper introduces new classes of weighted pseudodifferential operators with symbols depending on a complex parameter. These pseudodifferential operators are suitable for studying general parabolic problems with degeneracy. A symbolic calculus is studied as in the classical theory of pseudodifferential operators of Hörmander's classes. The authors also give a Gårding inequality for their classes of weighted pseudodifferential operators. All the results of the paper are presented without proofs.
