A (very short) introduction to buildings (Q404678)

This is an informal and elementary introduction to Tits buildings. It starts with the flag complex of a \(3\)-dimensional vector space; later buildings are defined as chamber systems with a kind of metric with values in a Coxeter group. The final section gives many detailed references, often to the books by \textit{P. Abramenko} and \textit{K. S. Brown} [Buildings. Theory and applications.
