Comment on ``Electromagnetic momentum conservation in media'', by I. Brevik and S. Å. Ellingsen (Q413180)

The author comments on the article [ibid. 326, No. 3, 754--769 (2011; Zbl 1213.78010)] by \textit{I. Brevik} and \textit{S. Å. Ellingsen}. In the article, Brevik and Ellingsen discuss the electromagnetic momentum in a configuration consisting of a point charge and a long solenoid immersed in a dielectric medium of uniform permittivity. In this comment, the author claims that the ``hidden'' momentum in the solenoid is neglected in the article by Brevik and Ellingsen. Thus, the treatment in the article is potentially misleading.
