The authors study the approximation of an eigenvalue problem for the Laplacian by the Crouzei-Raviart non-conforming finite elements in two and three dimensions. They propose a posteriori error estimators for eigenvectors and eigenvalues. Numerical examples discussing an adaptive procedure based on the proposed estimator are also discussed.
