On almost \(\varphi\)-Lagrange spaces (Q415732)

Summary: We initiate a study of the geometry of an almost \(\varphi\)-Lagrange space (APL-space in short). We obtain the expressions for the symmetric metric tensor, its inverse, the semispray coefficients, the solution curves of Euler-Lagrange equations, the nonlinear connection, the differential equation of autoparallel curves, the coefficients of canonical metrical \(d\)-connection, and the \(h\)- and \(v\)-deflection tensors in an APL-space. Corresponding expressions in a \(\varphi\)-Lagrange space and an almost Finsler Lagrange space are also deduced.
