In the paper, the author presents the new idea of so-called Theta-monotonicity of multivalued operators defined on a real Banach space and the idea of Theta-convex real valued functions, which generalize several similar notions already known in the literature.NEWLINENEWLINE In the subsequent sections of the paper, properties of Theta-monotone operators, maximal Theta-monotone operators, locally Theta-monotone operators, and Theta-convex functions are presented, respectively. It is pointed out that there is a close relation between these two new concepts.NEWLINENEWLINEMoreover, a number of interesting examples concerning monotonicity and convexity are presented.
