Principal eigenvalue for quasilinear cooperative elliptic systems. (Q425269)

The authors study the first eigenvalue of a \(\lambda \)-cooperative elliptic system involving \(p\)-Laplacians. They give sufficient conditions on the coefficients of the system which ensure that the first eigenvalue is simple and strictly principal (i.e. the eigenfunctions are strictly positive) and calculate its limit when \(\lambda \rightarrow -\infty \). They use next this result to prove the existence of strictly principal eigenvalues for a weighted system. Their results extend and improve results previously obtained in the paper of \textit{E. N. Dancer} [J. Differ. Equations 250, No. 1, 33--38 (2011; Zbl 1206.35184)] and \textit{M. Cuesta} and \textit{H. Ramos Quoirin} [NoDEA, Nonlinear Differ. Equ. Appl. 16, No. 4, 469--491 (2009; Zbl 1174.35089)].
