The aim of the paper is to estimate the spectral radius of a positive centrosymmetric matrix. The authors obtain three results on the bounds which are specifications of known results for general positive matrices proved by \textit{W. Ledermann} [J. Lond. Math. Soc. 25, 265--268 (1950; Zbl 0040.00502)], \textit{A. Ostrowski} [J. Lond. Math. Soc. 27, 253--256 (1952; Zbl 0046.01301)] and \textit{A. Brauer} [Duke Math. J. 24, 265--274 (1957; Zbl 0081.25103)].
