The author studies the well-posedness in \(L^p\)-spaces for some abstract transmission problem set in an unbounded domain of the positive half-line. The linear part is assumed to generate an analytic semigroup in a UMD Banach space. The existence of a strict solution is obtained by using the Dore-Venni's theorem. For illustration an example is provided.
