A variation of Bowen's formula for conformal graph directed Markov systems (CGDM) is presented; see [\textit{R. D. Mauldin} and \textit{M. Urbański}, Graph directed Markov systems. Geometry and dynamics of limit sets. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2003; Zbl 1033.37025)]. It is shown to extend Bowen's formula, which coincides with it for finite or finitely irreducible CGDMs.
