The authors investigate analytics and numerics of drugs release tracking with certain boundary conditions. Energy estimates are established and a numerical method that mimics the properties of the initial problem is introduced. The linearized version of the problem is studied for Dirichlet boundary conditions and natural boundary conditions. Explicit formulas for the fluxes and response times are established in terms of the parameters that characterize the drug and the platform.
