The authors show the following: Let the homology of the free loop space of a closed manifold be infinite-dimensional. Then, generically, there exist infinitely many leaf-wise intersection points for fiberwise star-shaped hypersurfaces on the cotangent bundle. An application to the restricted 3-body problem is discussed.
