The author studies the gradient flow of the \(L^2\)-norm of the Riemannian curvature on four-dimensional Riemannian manifolds. He proves the long time existence and convergence of the solution of the gradient flow to a metric of constant sectional curvature when the initial metric has small energy and positive Yamabe constant.
