Common fixed points of weak contractions in cone metric spaces (Q437627)

In the paper under review, several results on weak contractions of two types on cone metric spaces are proved. The results of \textit{B. S. Choudhary} and \textit{N. Metiya} [``The point of coincidence and common fixed point for a pair of mappings in cone metric spaces'', Comput. Math. Appl. 60, No. 6, 1686--1695 (2010; Zbl 1202.54031)] are generalized for weak contractions of the first type on cone metric spaces, while the results of \textit{D. Dorić} [``Common fixed point for generalized \((\psi ,\varphi )\)-weak contractions'', Appl. Math. Lett. 22, No. 12, 1896--1900 (2009; Zbl 1203.54040)] are extended to weak contractions of the second type on cone metric spaces. Examples are given to validate the results.
