The paper under review develops a method based on the symplectic reduction, which leads to new examples of quasi-morphisms and symplectic quasi-states in the sense of \textit{M. Entov} and \textit{L. Polterovich} [Int. Math. Res. Not. 2003, No. 30, 1635--1676 (2003; Zbl 1047.53055); Comment. Math. Helv. 81, No. 1, 75--99 (2006; Zbl 1096.53052)], by starting from known examples.
