Origami has many followers all over the world. This traditional Japanese art form of paper folding involves mathematical techniques. The paper under review is devoted to the differential-geometric background of origami. First, the authors introduce terms connecting the world of non-Euclidean geometry with the world of origami. Secondly, they demonstrate how to create pseudospherical hyperbolic paper. Finally, they describe a detailed algorithm for folding a hyperbolic analog of the Euclidean crane.
