The main result of this paper is a Möbius characterization of metric spheres and hemispheres via Ptolemy metric spaces and segments. This paper is a continuation of the authors' work [ibid. 98, No. 6, 571--581 (2012; Zbl 1267.53078)] and generalizes a result by the authors given in [Manuscr. Math. 140, No. 3--4, 613--620 (2013; Zbl 1266.51017)] where the Möbius and the isometry classes of Ptolemy segments and Ptolemy circles are studied.
