The aim of this paper is to construct examples of isoparametric hypersurfaces in complex hyperbolic spaces that are in general not homogeneous. These examples arise as tubes around certain homogeneous sumbanifolds and show that inhomogeneous isoparametric hypersurfaces exist. The main result, the construction of these isoparametric hypersurfaces, is summarized in Theorem 3.1.
