A spherically symmetric self-similar flow is considered. A spherical piston moves outward at a constant speed pushing out undisturbed gas. The speed of a weak shock is supposed to be constant. The problem is transformed into a system of two nonlinear ordinary differential equations with appropriate two-point boundary conditions. The global existence of a unique positive smooth solution is proved.
