For a locally compact group \(G\), the \textit{Hochschild kernel} \(\text{urk}(G)\) is the intersection of all kernels of continuous finite-dimensional representations of \(G\). The author of the paper under review gives a direct description of \(\text{urk}(G)\) for an arbitrary connected Lie group \(G\) and gives a new approach to a key equivalence in a Hochschild type description of \(\text{urk}(G)\) for an arbitrary connected locally compact group \(G\).
